Saturday we visited Chiricahua National Monument. Somehow it was refreshing to see Park Service employees... it was like being home again. It's really exciting that I photographed this one particular lizard, the New Mexico Whiptail. According to my field guide, their range doesn't reach this area. The closest they get is the southwestern edge of New Mexico. Pretty incredible!
