This was one of my favorite days of herping. Mom and Dad and I set out early in the morning and went to Usery Mountain Park, in Tonto National Forest. We arrived there at 8:00 a.m. and then we immediately split up. I didn't realize I had been walking around for 2 and 1/2 hours. Time flies when you're having fun. I saw lots of new lizards I had never seen before, and the most beautiful snake. The photo here does not do it justice.
