Out of Africa Wildlife

Mom and Dad told us about
this great place in Scottsdale called Out of Africa
Wildlife Park. They have something there called
Tiger Splash, which apparently began as therapy
for a tiger who had just undergone surgery. The
tiger had so much fun, they turned the whole thing
into a show for visitors. These adult tigers "play"
with their human caregivers, running and jumping
and swimming in the water. It's amazing! One of
the employees got a little hurt at one point,
when his tiger accidentally cut him with his claw
as he fell down on him in the water. The rest
of the park is filled with animals from all over
the world. Lots of large mammals and birds and
monkeys in particular. At least, those were the
things that we were most drawn to.
